The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced snowfall and heavy, occasionally stormy rain expected on Saturday and Sunday in several provinces across the Kingdom.
In an orange-level weather alert, the DGM indicated that snowfall ranging from 15 to 30 centimeters is expected from Saturday at 6 p.m. to Sunday at 6 p.m. in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Azilal, Béni Mellal, and Midelt.
Additionally, lighter snowfalls between 5 and 10 centimeters are anticipated in the provinces of Taroudant, El Haouz, Ifrane, Khénifra, Figuig, and Boulemane.
Heavy, occasionally stormy rain ranging from 25 to 35 millimeters, accompanied by local hail and gusty winds during storms, is expected from Saturday at 6 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m. in El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Settat, Azilal, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Saleh, and Béni Mellal. Rainfall between 15 and 25 millimeters is also expected in Casablanca, Mohammedia, Berrechid, Nouaceur, Khénifra, and Mediouna.
Furthermore, strong to locally very strong wind gusts (70-85 km/h) are forecast on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Errachidia, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, and Guelmim.
